Riding the Paris metro on our last day in the city, and whose bags do I almost trip over? None other than a jet-lagged Amy Klobuchar. I’m pleased to see that we don’t pay senators enough to afford a cab from the airport.

It’s easy to recognize undistinguished senators when they wear name tags!
I saw a US senate badge on her luggage, and a “parliamentary delegation” sticker as well. I started thinking of women senators whom I wouldn’t recognize, and the only name I could come up with was Tom’s favorite, Patty Murray. Klobuchar is so obscure I couldn’t even remember that I couldn’t remember what she looked like. Then when we got off, Dorothy asked if there was a senator named “KO-boo-ker”. We put the pieces together, and confirmed via internets.
