Fred’s not so much a Federalist as he is a Federalist-the-next-generation. If we need a mascot, I say we pick Alexander Hamilton: sharp, understood economics, snarky streak, and a genuine (illegitimate) bastard.
I just noticed the networks aren’t showing Thompson. Instead they have a bunch of talking heads flapping about the media flap over Palin. This is surreal. As best I can tell, ABC showed the president speaking, and now has journalists talking about how much the Republicans missed having speakers last night.
It’s like actual events don’t matter any more. They just exist for journalists to sit around and talk about without covering. “Here we are at the RNC, which we’re not showing you…How important is the RNC to voters?”
