Did it ever occur to you that people are buying Spam because it is calorically dense and keeps without refrigeration?

As in winter survival food. Worst case scenario food. Food that you hope you never ever have to eat?

In light of the anticipated effect of the trillion plus dollar bailout that we will be experiencing six to eighteen months from now, coupled with the election of an inexperienced president who idolizes what FDR did for the economy, from the party of Carter, I am investing in food that will store well.

I cannot guarantee an income, nor the wide availability of consumer items, during a panic or extended downturn.

I am not alone. But most of us aren’t talking about it.
