I think it was Max Boot who suggested offering Letters of Marque to mercen- er, private security companies. I’ve no problem with this.

Yeah, this just screams "target practice" to me. And to the Indians. I guess if there was an ocean named after my country and it was the only ocean in the world infested by pirates, I'd be pretty aggressive about going after the pirates.

It’s hard to think of a situation that cries out more clearly for blazing weapons. You hijack a ship in international waters? It’s a race among civilized nations as to who gets to blow you out of the water first.

In a news article about an earlier pirate episode (the mystery tanks for Kenya, or possibly the Sudan), there was a mention of a ‘pirate spokesman’ being interviewed by satellite phone.
