Hmmm… you know, it’s a pretty long list he has there. Maybe instead of being thankful to Toni Morrison, you can be thankful to Ralph Ellison twice. Would that count?

Saving me from an oncoming train would be a good way to start filling in the hole she’s dug. She’d have to save me ten, maybe fifteen times to fill it up, though. I’m going to say that’s unlikely; though I’ll grant that if it came to pass, I would reconsider.

I absolutely agree with the Toni Morrison line. I was forced in both high school and undergrad to work my way through her stuff. Ugh, I never liked a single sentence of it.
